Today was the last day of school so I’m officially out on summer vacation! The weather was really, really warm today so I sat in the courtyard and read in the shade while my classmates planned some sort of party? The bushes and trees around the school, along with some tulips were all in full-bloom so I actually felt somewhat relaxed in school for once!

I’ve been in my current school since the end of December and I’m pretty much at home there by now! In the first few weeks a lot of people introduced themselves to me and talked to me (at least in the first few days!) but I’m….Pretty sure they’ve given up? It takes a lot of time for me to gain the confidence to talk openly to people and it takes a lot of courage on my part just to reply! It’s very understandable that they’ve given up on me since I basically just sit there fiddling with my hair or smiling at people in silence.
I try to follow some of the girls to Lunch so I can sit with them but I’m pretty sure no one notices me anymore? At the end of Lunch when the diningroom started to empty out I sat with two girls I don’t know and they had a very private conversation concerning a boy in our class and sort of clammed up whenever anyone got near our table and basically spilled their feelings while I sat right next to them trying to fit a celery in my mouth!
I’m used to people not noticing me since I don’t stand out much but today it felt a bit worse than usual. It’s my fault for being so shy and I really wish I had the courage to talk to people.

So! Today in class I opened my bag to get my cellphone, I didn’t see it at first but I figured it was probably under my hairbrush. Turns out it wasn’t there so I rummaged through the whole bag while going “oh…oh no…oh…” (I don’t think anyone heard me since my voice is really quiet, luckily!)
After confirming that it wasn’t there I excused myself from class and headed out into the courtyard to see if I had dropped it on my way to the dininghall!I couldn’t find it anywhere on the ground so I entered the empty dininghall and checked the table I sat at during breakfast, ducked under the table and pulled out a few chairs and such. It wasn’t there either so I went to the kitchen and asked if the cook or any of her assistants had seen a cellphone but they said they hadn’t but offered to help look!
One of them suggested that one of my friends might’ve seen me drop it and picked it up for me to which I hear myself responding “I don’t really have any friends, though!” with nervous smile? The poor lady looked so uncomfortable oh god I’m sorry
A-anyhow, I left since I couldn’t find it and decided to check my bag one last time. Turns out my cellphone was in the side department of my bag? M-maybe I should point out that my bag’s a really small satchel aha…ha.

I just got back from school and me and my teachers made some changes regarding my schedule! I’m supposed to attend from 8:30 to 12:20 instead of leaving 15:30 so I can get home at a reasonable time. Aside from that, I finally got to switch to the advanced English class! They had to keep me in beginners English for a while so they could check my level and now I have Advanced English three times a week which is great. On top of that, I get to skip math class entirely this term!
Ahh my school’s really nice? They’ve arranged so I never get grouped in with boys when we do group assignments and they respect my silly fear of the opposite sex and social situations in general. They cut down on my school time so I can adjust to school life at a steady pace, too! Not to mention that my homeroom teacher told me that I’m a very clever and intelligent girl which made me really happy!
Also my classmates said they’d missed me and tried to involve me in their conversations while I sat there smiling like some sort of crazed porcupine? They’re really accepting of my shyness which is refreshing!
G-gosh this post is sort of lengthy?

Good afternoon! I got home from school a while ago and we only had one class today? We watched this documentary about the start of the 1900’s and the ‘la belle epoque’. It mostly contained facts I already knew but it’s always fun to watch historical footage! After that I made my way to the diningroom with these two girls named Catrine and Cornelia! Cornelia’s been reaaally nice to me since day one and always invites me to accompany her whenever she’s going somewhere on school grounds. She’s been a bit sick this whole week so I’ve bombarded her with mints for her soar throat every chance I get.
Catrine came back from her vaccation this Thursday and I happened to overhear that she liked K-pop in math class on the same day so I asked her what groups she liked during dinner, and it turns out we like the same ones! After that we had a lot of fun and made jokes about Minho and such.
A-anyhow, I had some coffee with them while I waited for mom to pick me up and now I’m rolling around in my room doing…Well, nothing? I only skipped school one day this week so I guess I’m adjusting! Hopefully I’ll have the energy to attend every day starting next week.
